It started with a scarf I forgot at pottery class and a text you were brave enough to send. You wrote first that night, and you have been reaching out to me ever since.

Five days later you said good night, love you, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. It was. For thirty days in a row we did not let a single day pass without talking, and some of my favourite words from you arrived long after midnight.

In Lisbon we got lost for a whole afternoon, and it was still the best day of the trip. That is how it feels with you: even lost, I am exactly where I want to be.

Now we have our first apartment, and you still have my scarf. Thank you for making every place feel like home.
